In 2020, we shared the exciting news about one of our trustees, Dr Ibrar Majid, being awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours 2020 for services to healthcare. A consultant peadiatric orthopaedic surgeon, Ibrar has been a trustee at DWW for more than a decade, including his position as chairman from 2010 – 2020.
In December 2021, Dr Ibrar was awarded with his MBE at his investiture ceremony. An investiture is a very special day when someone who has been awarded an honour receives their award in person from The Queen, or a Member of the Royal Family.
